COVID POLICY
Ride-A-Wave (RAW) is returning in 2023 to offer surf camps to kids with disabilities! We halted our camps for several years due to respecting and acknowledging the possible severe effects on our participants, our volunteers, and the general public with regards to COVID-19. Please note that RAW considers everybody’s safety, regarding COVID-19 as well as all as everything else, a top priority. RAW will do our best to maintain a clean environment and equipment, and will have on hand both cleaning supplies and hand sanitizers for everyone’s use. We also need you to do your part too!
Please consider the below, before making the choice to attend.
Attend at your own risk: By attending one of our public events, you acknowledge that there is a risk of exposure to COVID-19 and accept all responsibility for your own health and well-being. The event organizers won’t be held liable for any exposure to COVID-19 or any other illness that may occur as a result of attending one of our events.
Your behavior affects others: Your behavior and actions can impact the health and safety of others, so please be respectful of others' choices and decisions around COVID safety, and try to create a safe and welcoming environment for everyone. Please also follow all guidelines to ensure a safe and enjoyable event for all.
Stay home if you are feeling sick: If you are feeling sick or have been in contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19, you must stay home and not attend the event. Please ensure any family members or friends who might attend do the same.
Follow all safety guidelines: Please follow all safety guidelines provided by the event organizers, such as wearing masks (optional), maintaining social distancing of at least 6 feet from others who are not part of your household or group (when possible), and washing your hands frequently (recommended). We also suggest you avoid sharing food or drinks with others, even if they are part of your household or group, and you should cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or your elbow when coughing or sneezing. You may be asked to leave if organizers feel you're disregarding the safety of others.
Ride-A-Wave appreciates your understanding of our desire to maintain a safe and healthy day at the beach for everyone! Thank You.
