A full-time firefighter and paramedic, the Ride a Wave founder is a former tandem surfing champion and lifeguard.
Jonathan 'Steiny' Steinberg
Jonathan Steinberg is a retired nonprofit administrator. He wears several different hats at RAW: surfing venue coordinator and organization bookkeeper. Steiny is one of the original members, having joined in 1998
Max Montgomery
A former tech marketing executive, Montgomery has designed and marketed many award winning software products and services. A RAW volunteer since 2001, he has assisted other local non-profits over the years including the Homeless Garden Project. He co-founded Best Day Foundation in 2008 to bring programs like RAW to other locations, which he also ran as Executive Directorfor 5 years. In 2013 he co-founded and ran Tommie Cares Foundation until 2014.
Lisa Cordoza
Lisa has been the heartbeat of RAW for many years, being the organizational glue that holds everything together behind the scene's
Paul Steinberg
Paul Steinberg is a San Francisco City Firefighter and longtime Santa Cruz City Lifeguard. He is RAW chief safety officer and has been volunteering at Ride A Wave since he was 9 years old.
Tim Fukai
Long time Santa Cruz Surfer and RAW volunteer, Tim brings a wealth of waterman experience to share.

Rocky Snyder
A Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and a Certified Personal Trainer since 1993, Snyder had been named Best Personal Trainer of Santa Cruz County for four straight years. The author of Fit to Paddle, Fit to Surf, and Fit to Ski lives in Aptos, California.
Don Calerdine
In love with all things ocean, ever since his cousin threw him off the Hermosa Beach pier at the age of 5. Don has been a member of RAW since 1998, and worked with Malibu Boardriders Camp GoodTimes before that. He owns a local Biomedical Engineering company, and retired from UCSC after 22 years at UCSC as a IT Project Manager.
Tim Loomis
A RAW volunteer since the beginning, Loomis began his involvement with surfing and the environment in 1989 as membership chair for Santa Cruz Surfrider Chapter. He created surf rep business Big Sur Styles in 1991 and has held posts as Original Log Jam Fundraiser Chair, Big Stick Surfing Association, spokesman for Surfer's Environmental Alliance, and president of Santa Cruz Fly Fishermen.
